Boiled Fruit CakeRecipe : Boiled Fruit Cake
Procedure :
-Patricia Dwigans fwds07a- 2 c Brown sugar 2 c Cold water 1 c Raisins 1/2 c Nuts; optional 1/2 c Figs 1 c Butter 2 ts Cinnamon 1 ts Cloves 1 ts Nutmeg 3 Eggs; well beaten 3 c Flour 2 ts Soda 1/4 ts Cream of tartar Mix well and boil together for 10 minutes the first nine ingredients. Remove and let cool thoroughly; then all eggs, flour, soda, and cream of tartar. Bake in loaf pan 350~ for about one hour. ----- |
